SPANISH THE SILENT WAY
SEMI-INTENSIVE COURSE
(For Beginners of Spanish)
Guadalajara, Mexico, August 8 to 15, 2010
THE PROGRAM
-Sunday . Pickup at airport by the Pints. Dinner with the Pints (around
3:30 PM).
-Monday- 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM first Spanish lesson with two breaks: 11:00
AM (coffee break) and 1:00 PM (light lunch). Dinner with host family (around
3:30). Around 5:30 PM tour of Guadalajara (Optional).
-Tuesday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Spanish lesson. Same as Monday. After dinner
visit main market, a museum or an art exhibit.
-Wednesday 9:00 to 3:00, Spanish lesson. Dinner with host family. Hike in
the woods around us (Optional).
-Thursday 9:00 to 3:00 Spanish lesson. Visit and dinner in Tlaquepaque.
-Friday 9:00 to 3:00, Spanish lesson. Dinner with host family. Hiking
around nearby canyons or another activity.
-Saturday. Pick up from host family around 11:00, a.m. Visit a tequila
distillery as well as the most important archeological sight in Western Mexico:
Los Guachimontones. Dinner by Lake La Vega (Presa de la Vega). Birdwatchers will
be delighted to see so many water birds.
-Sunday. Return to the airport, unless the student decides otherwise.
PRICE:
One person: $1,400 US dollars.
Two persons staying with a local family: if sharing a room: $750 US dollars
each, or $850 US dollars each if in an individual room. Remember: this prices
includes the course, complete accommodation with meals and sightseeing. It
doesn’t include air fare.
