Pint's Passages for Aural Comprehension I



Materials for teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL, TEFL and TESL).

These exercises will help students focus on common words like have, will and them which are frequently shortened by native speakers of English.

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Play the recording and ask the students what they think the passage is about.

2. Pass out copies of the cloze passage and invite the students to write the missing words. Play the passage as often as they want to hear it.

3. Pass out the full-text version of the passage and ask students to check their own work.

4. Invite the students to try reading the passage aloud with the voice on the recording..
